Taylor Swift Unveils Tangerine ‘1989’s Exclusive Bonus Track

Taylor Swift stated on Wednesday (Sept. 13) that an exclusive additional track will be available on the tangerine edition of the vinyl, extending the campaign for 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which is scheduled to release on October 27.

Only at Target will they be sold, but you can pre-order the vinyl and three Deluxe Poster Edition CDs with special photographs here.

Just a few weeks ago, non-Target exclusive vinyl releases, including aquamarine green and yellow “Sunrise Boulevard” variants, were announced. This announcement of the Tangerine Edition vinyl follows those releases.

During her final performance on August 9 at the Los Angeles SoFi Stadium, Swift revealed 1989 (Taylor’s Version). When it was first released in 2014, the album spent 11 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 albums list.

1989 (Taylor’s Version) will be Swift’s fourth “Version,” after the announcement of her re-recording project in 2019. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2021, Red (Taylor’s Version) spent one week in 2021, and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) spent two weeks in 2023.

Taylor won nine trophies at the 2023 MTV Video Music trophies on Tuesday night (Sept. 12), raising her career total to 23, second only to Beyoncé (30 victories) on the all-time VMAs leaderboard.
